a friend of mine has a 235C serial number 5AF with a bad motor (whole in the block) my question is will any 3306 motor work or does it need to be an excavator motor ? i believe the arrangment number is a 9y0032 but not for sure on that. i havent actually seen the machine in person yet. pj
Yes and no, block is the same (mostly), arrangements are the different applications. Might have to swap alittle or alot of parts. 235C should be be aftercooled.
If interested I have a block out of a 235 32K serial number. Mine had spun bearings so we found a used takeout engine from a scraper and swapped it. My block should be useable yet with some machining. I'd sell it cheap!
