Cat 257B Skid Steer Enquiery.

Am wondering if anyone could advise why Cat 357B Skid Steer will not wotk. Motor is working fine but there is absolutely no hydraulic functions. Could there be a broken likage between engine and hydraulic pumps or would it be solenoids etc. Any thoughts woild be greatly appreciated.

    The coupling (#2 shown below) plus the other half of it that is mounted on the engine flywheel would be the prime suspect, especially considering the age of the machine. Was the machine working fine one minute and then just stopped, even though the engine still runs.?

    Are there any warning lights lit or does the buzzer sound.?

    Does the cooling fan run? If not it is probably the coupling.

    Thank you for replies. Yes working fine then stopped abruptly, though motor still running as normal. No warning lights.

    In that case as Mobiltech said take a look to see if the fan is turning.
