OK this is my first time posting here. I own a Cat skid steer. Model 259D3. The blower fan only works on high speed. I believe this is due to a faulty blower fan speed resistor. I cant figure out where the speed resistor would be located. Would It be built into the fan itself? Any Help is appreciated.
Can you quote a Serial Number to assist in getting accurate information. A quick look at an electrical schematic (that may not be correct for your particular machine) seems to indicate that the speed control for the motor could be located in the blower control switch. Failing that there may be no resistor per se and the various different fan motor speeds are obtained simply by energizing different sections of the motor windings.
