Can anybody provide me a trouble shooting procedure for determining why my high flow is not working. The high flow switch barely illuminates when switched on, no changes occur. I do have the two correct terminal jumped on the work tool electrical connection. There is some harness damage behind the work tool plug on arm but i do not believe that is the cause of the problem at this time. The damage is not to wires that needed jumped. Aux Ecm has been replaced recently due to a separate issue. Serial number # ZSA03736
Hi,you said that the ECM has been replaced. From your serial number it has the optional XPS high flow fitted. Has the ECM been configured correctly with the right soft ware and the correct options selected with ET Mark
Watching and interested. Mine doesn't work either, 2006 CAT287b High Flow XPS. My thread: HeavyEquipmentForums
No i do not know anything about that. Cat shipped it and couldn't even tell me for sure if it was going to need flashed or not. Thet just told me to plug it in and find out.
Thank you! That might be helpful.
hi, unless you can be sure the ECM is set up correctly I don't think I can help Was the hi flow working before the ECM change? a couple of quick checks if you are able to !/make sure the hi flow switch is in the correct position (right side selected, light should come on ) 2/The correct jumper Harness is used (or connect terminals F and G together) 3/use a 5000 psi pressure gauge and connect to the test port on the control valve select high idle and operate the lower control until it stalls out. read pressure. it should be about 3300 psi now install jumper connector with high idle and operate the thumb wheel all the way. it should jump to about 4000 psi this will tell us that the ECM is getting the pwm signal from the thumbwheel
