Greetings! We have a 2018 CAT 299D2 XHP (DX202874) and we bought an off brand mulcher. After reading the forms it seems we need to make a connector with a jumper in it to use the high-flow hydraulics. I have 2 questions however. The jumper needs to be from "N" to "B" ? Also, this mulcher has a 12v fan on top for extra fluid cooling but it came with a long cord with a cigarette lighter plug to connect it. We don't have a lighter socket in our machine so i was hoping to cut the plug off and find a way to attach it to the same plug we are putting the jumper in. Is there a 12v pin thats active (live) when the ignition is on? And would i have to share the ground pin with the jumper for the fan?
No. For High Flow you need to jumper Pins K (C460 BU) and B (200 BK). Jumpering Pins N (C481 GN) and B will give you Super High Flow. There is no Batt+ in the connector on the lift arm, only ground (Pin B).
Thanks Nige! You are the man! I'll install a cigarette lighter in the cab then for the fan. We have the roof-top hydraulic oil cooler so not sure the little one on the attachment will do much good but cant hurt.
