I recently purchased a 2003 cat 301.8. The hydraulics only work at idle, soon as I bump the throttle up I lose hydraulics. I should mention the wiring is a disaster. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
It sounds as though you need schematics and maybe also a shop manual. How about a machine Serial Number to get the ball rolling.?

That's actually the engine Serial Number. The machine is BFA02826. Check your inbox for electrical and hystaulic schematics. The service manual for your machine is Cat Publication reference RENR2800. Here's a link to one on eBay . Before you jib at the price consider that a new one is twice that.!
