303cr serial#KDMA03963. The low oil pressure light works in bulb check but not during key on engine off. Is the sender a variable resistor or an on off. The light does not light if I ground the wire. Any help would be appreciated.
Welcome to HEF. The low oil pressure warning is controlled by an open/closed switch mounted next to the oil pump, so you won't get the warning lamp to light by grounding the wire. I have looked all over and cannot for the life of me find what the opening/closing pressure spec of the switch is. Sorry about that. I'll send you a copy of the electrical schematic.
