Sounds like it's idleing down like normal and not throttling up when a circuit is activated. Need to check Decellerator control. Later Bob

We have a Cat 330C that was doing the same thing. After troubleshooting it turned out we had a weak injector and the TPS (Throttle position sensor) was bad.

so, it's that from the throttle position? I've changed the injector but it doesn't work.. Thank you "Mjrdude1 & Bob", tomorrow i will check it. Steven

Do you have any codes active or logged? Can be checked in the monitor.

I have had nothing but issues getting the drain petcock on the 328-1644 separator filter's bowl to fully close. I change the whole bowl or just the petcock, every other filter change. If the knob portion of the petcock isn't touching the boss on the bowl, it needs replaced, if you can't top it out by hand. Also, when servicing, are you changing both 1r-0751's. My 320D (xck prefix) has three total fuel system filters.

Losing digging power, or losing engine power and the engine is bogging down? Checked air filters/piping for restrictions? Fuel filters? Had a paving machine with similar issues, turned out the air filter housing was clogged up with asphalt fume "gunk" and under load, the rubber intake piping would eventually suck itself closed from not enough air flow. Plus the air filter restriction gauge was broken, so when it pulled enough vacuum to show red, it wouldn't stay in the red, it would go back to green as soon as the engine load was taken away. If you can, plug into the machine either with ET or use a boost gauge tapped into the intake and see if it's losing boost when it falls on it's face. Same with fuel pressure. Are the customers working the machines in the same conditions?

Thank you, i appreciate your opinion. I have changed the filter "1R-0751" but noting happened.

if engine is lugging pls check PRV in main pump flow control is working properly

I didn't ask if you changed ONE 1R-0751. I asked if A) you changed all THREE fuel filters 2 @1R-0751 1 @326-1644 B) you verified that the drain petcock on the 326-1644 is fully closed, ie...flush to the bowl. Another issue of some concern here is when the bowl gasket is omitted during water separator filter changes. I suspect a fuel related problem as they run fine for the first two minutes, then begin exhibiting symptoms. Unlike my 322B machines, my D series machines will not allow the engine to stumble and/ or miss as the filters become restricted, or if air is entrained in the fuel system. My 324D will actually stop all hydraulics when the filters approach full restriction, without the engine EVER missing a beat.
