Cat 320l temperature gauge warning buzzer coming on again

i posted about this about 2 weeks ago on September 14 and thought had solved the problem. Got on excavator one afternoon after bringing it home to shop. It had ran the day before about 4 hours no problem. As soon as cranked it up within 1 minute buzzer was going off. Cat serial number 9kk02063. Rechecked the wire coming out of ecm again and it tested good. I removed that wire ( believe no 9 grey) and made new wire with correct connector and bypassed wiring harness to temperature sensor. Buzzer went off in about 5 minutes. Tested voltage on wire and it was 7.8 volts. Mr. anuradha and stated wire should have 12 volts coming out of ecm. Does that mean ecm bad? Would the lower voltage cause temperature gauge read high? Have used temperature gun to read temperature motor is not hot. Can also feel radiator with hand not hot. Can feel thermostat housing where temperature sender is and not hot to hand. I had previously put in new sensor. When reading ohms with sensor out and disconnected ohms go down longer you leave it it your hand. With all wires off sender temperature gauge shows 3 bars. With gray wire from ecm touch to ground gauge goes full band.

According to this statement from your previous thread, did you check well whether controller connectors have corrosion (both the female and male sides). Voltage should be 11-12 Volts and this should be checked between wires after disconnecting the two wires from the sender. At this point only one band should remain on the gauge. if the sender, wiring & connectors are all good & still you get above mentioned two results then the problem will be with the monitor and/or controller. but before come to a conclusion since you have temperature gun, check voltage levels with below mentioned conditions.(temperatures) Connects the two wires to the temperature sender and check the voltage levels between those two wires at, @28 Celsius, app. 9.5V @50 Celsius, app. 7.8V @60 Celsius, app. 6.9V @68 Celsius, app. 6.2V Check whether these readings are good.

    Wire loose from sender to ground 8 volts. 28c or 82f degrees 6.7 volts 50c or 122 f degrees 6.16 volts 60c or 140f degrees 5.01 volts
