This leak is running down at the rear of hydraulic lever assy. I am not a heavy equipment mechanic, but i have been a pro auto mechanic for fifty plus years. Any help would be appreciated. This is a Cat 416C backhoe.
Can you start with a Serial Number please. It helps when tracking down information. There are various different models of 416C and a million different ways they can be configured. If you can then post a couple of photos showing the location of the component that's leaking that would help. Your description is not 100% clear.
it is the thingy next to the doohickey.....you know Clifford Baxley knows, he is a car guy like me. We got descriptions like this all the time.
Pics. would definitely help. Is there a cover over the control valve you can remove? Is it the loader valve or the backhoe valve? I'd be thinking maybe a loose fitting on the valve or maybe a hose leaking close to the crimp.
