Hey all. Have a Cat 428(a) backhoe with a 4in1 bucket. Tried to remove one of the hydraulic rams that operates the grab, because it needs the seals done, and there`s just no way I can get the pin on the barrel end to budge. The pin on the piston end came out fine. Anyone got some helpful advice for me.
If the top pin has come out, it is all you really need to do the job. Leave the lower pin & cylinder on the bucket. Undo the gland & pull the rod, gland & piston from the cylinder. Rekit & re-install.
