After running for about 30 minutes my transmission climbs to about 230-245. We have had the torque convertor out 2 times now and the second time cat dealer rebuilt it. Cooler is dropping temp bout 20 degrees and super clean. When i run i always cut in first and reverse in second. Please help
sounds like you have internal leakage inside the trans and the pressure drop (wasted energy) is cooking the oil
Here is what you do. Put a pressure gauge on the pump/filter housing and check the pressure at high and low idle with hot oil then shift through all gears at low idle. Come back with the pressures you get. Pressures should hold within 10 % of each other, high and low idle. Then take off the engine side covers and feel the trans cooler lines up to the junction block and then beyond to the cooler by the rad. look for a cold line between the junction block and the cooler core by the rad. If you find a cold line beyond the junction block change the cooler bypass valve in the block. Later Bob
