Cat D333A diesel engine

Does anybody know the HP on the engine it came out of a Koehring 505 excavator want to put it on a wood grinder but need 300-350 HP

    190 hp is what a d333 is rated for at sea level.

    250c Thanks for your help , I talked to Cat dealer they said without serial number the range is from 190-300 HP

    I'm pretty sure that engine came with a turbocharger. should be around 250 HP or so. The Cat 3306 motor is the updated version. Don't tell me what happened to the 505.

    The dealer was right. Without the engine number it's impossible to tell how many BHP it was rated for in its original form. There were 9 different Serial Number prefix ranges of D333 engine, and probably 100 different arrangements within each prefix, each one producing different power @ different RPM. With a Serial Number it's possible to get the exact power rating, without it, at stated above, it's anywhere from 190-330 BHP.
