i just recently purchased a 1992 cat d3c dozer that had been sitting for almost 4 years. as soon as unloaded it off the trailer i got about 150 ft and it just stopped, the motor runs perfect just haveing the bottom end rebuilt. i pulled the filter out of the tranny and the fluid was milky white and the filter had some chunky stuff on it. i cleaned it, changed the fluid. started it and she moved again! only to go another 150ft and come to a stop again, i cleaned the filter again and changed the fluid again. it moved one more time and now no matter what i do it will not move. the fluid is still a white color which i have changed 3 times. there is a o ring on the top on the tranny where the linkage connects that fluid is coming out of when i rev the motor. i have a feeling that the water was entering the transmission from there. the other thing is that i know the tranny is only suppose to take 5 gallons, the previous owner came over and added 3 gallons on top of the five that was in it with a total of about 8 gallons in the tranny right now. any suggestions??
