What years are they and what is the new paint covering up? 1800 hours the Komatsu is just broken in if it was looked after and everything should be original and tight. The Cat with new paint, new hoses, repacked cylinders, etc. may have had a hard life. Do you have any pics.?

The D3XL is a narrow track machine while the D39P is a wide track. Consider you operation and whether you need the floatation.

The 1999 D39P-1 I had was joystick control, good machine (and it had about 1800 hours.)

Depends on what you are calling swamp tracks???.. It has wide pads 24”, normal grousers, doesn’t have pyramid grousers...

D39 is a heavier and more powerful dozer than a D3. FWD

My D39P-1 was an LGP with standard grousers, it weighs about 20,000 pounds.
