Cat d4 6u dozer

I have a 1959 cat d4 6u dozer and on the back drive gear housing there is a grease fitting but also next to it is 1 or 2 plugs does it get grease or oil in it if anyone has any info or pics to go to would help greatly

    Seems your referring to the #44 hydraulic control drive.... There are one or two grease zerks and one retaining plug.

    So it is for grease and not oil just want to put the right stuff in

    Sorry idk why it out that it's a 1950 cat d4 6u dozer not 1959
