D7F, probably 1970 but maybe someone can confirm that. Unless the engine has been changed at some point for a 3306 the original engine was a D333C (that closely resembles a 3306 but isn't). Easy way to tell, have a look at the engine Serial Number. If it is the same as the tractor S/N then the engine is a D333C. See this thread - HeavyEquipmentForums

WTH with all these old tractors surfacing all the sudden? D7F were the first generation of hydraulics, does that ripper look correct?

    No, I think the D7 17A from the '50s had hydraulics...then there was the D7E from the '60s next...then the D7F from the '70s.

D7D 17A was the first hyd.

It is a D7G ripper frame and the tilt ram for the blade is on the wrong side and the hoses should not come out the front, but come across the track frame and piped up through the push arm. It should not have a visible muffler so I guess the venturi air cleaner is not there as well. But a machine that old who knows what other mods they did to it from the original factory spec.

Model year is 1971. Machine is US built. There also machines that were built in Japan and brought into the country through the gray market. The serial numbers on the D7F show being built from 1970 to 1975. I had one at a place I worked that also had the hydraulic hoses for the blade tilt coming out by the radiator.

It also has the old D7E transmission designed for the low rpms of the D339 engine in it instead of the new improved transmission designed for the higher revving D33C/3306 engine...think they changed it around S/N 5192.

Would it be better to look for a D7G? Thanks for all the great info on what it is and has.

Or look for a D7F with a Serial Number above 92N5192 with the 3306 engine and the updated transmission. Take a look at that thread I linked in Post #2 above.
