Sorry I don't have any suggestions, but I am interested in this as my radio does the same thing. Hope someone has an idea.

Not sure if Cat is the same but our Case has a mute button on the front of the left joystick.

it got wet somewhere along the line then so easiest fix is pull it out and replace it, itll cost alot less than messing with it and it still wont be right

Not knowing what cat radio you have did you get into the radio settings by pressing the volume knob there is a setting called fader try adjusting it if you havent aready Cat radios can run 4 speaker systems your machine only has two. it could be adjusted so its trying to play on the two speakers you dont have

my radio does not have a knob on it.. it is all push buttons it has a balance adjustment and that makes no difference either... i am able to change stations and that shows but when i push volume buttons nothing appears on screen is that normal? the stations presets also change when i push them

Has it always been like this since you had the machine, or did the problem suddenly appear..? Have you tried connecting it to a speaker that you know works..?

Just for sh*ts and giggles ...... try and plugging in a new antenna ...... oh and is it just a radio or a tape or CD player too ?? ...... if it is that could be hooped as well .. My antenna went for a pooper years ago ..... then went to the Sirius Satelite w/head set

i am thinking about adding a new radio however with the machine being 24 volts is this going to cause a problem for my radio as it is made for a car?

NO ! ..the power up where the radio goes is already 12v ...... it goes thru a converter before it feeds to the radio ...check it out you'll see ....... have fun enjoy !

I'm new to the board but not new to cat. I have an 02 315cl that was having the same problems. Replaced the speakers and got static. Plugged in a new antenna and had music.

does the antenna come from the back of the radio to outside in one piece or is there different parts to it? do i need a cat specific antenna?

  16. #16CRAFT2012-05-01 21:39

It does come from the back and is one piece ... the only issue you'll find is matching up the mounting brackets ......
