Sorry for my ignorance but I seem to be finding conflicting info online. I have a Kubota kx121-3 and need to replace the thumb cylinder. I have no experience with changing hydraulic cylinders and I'm trying to determine if I have to prime the cylinder and lines with oil first. If so how is the easiest way to do so? Thanks in advance for any insight.
I would just throw it on there and get after it, it'll bleed itself mainly. Worse case you may have to crack a line to let some air out of the rod side.
Yep, like lumberjack sez just slap it on and cycle it a couple times, will be good to go.
Perfect. Thanks for the clarification!
