Looking to replace a QSB6.7 in one of my mulching tractors. I found a "good deal" on a mil surplus engine that has similar hp output. It is 24 volt system however. I need 12 volt. I read somewhere that Cummins can reprogram the ecm to 12 volt or I can just swap my ecm over. What about sensors and injectors?
I did a swap like that but from 12 to 24 many years ago. I don't think it took too much to swap it over, a few sensors for sure. I know it didn't take long. Can't remember if the new engine came with an ECM or not in my situation.
