Did the driver go through the windshield on that?

I don´t know, sorry. Accidents with ADT´s like that are very common, because you only need a car driver license to move these trucks here in germany. Many operators only get a short introduction how to drive, and then this happens...

Very interesting way to dump the load.

Must not have been wearin his seatbelt to go through that windshield. Just looking at the photos he must have been really moving and lost control in a curve or something an dstarted up that slope and pulled off fast enough to keep the cab up, but completely flipped the bed.... that had to take some doing...

Flipped while dumping He's one that flipped the cab whilst dumping its load. Only damage was a slight scratch on the side. Operator was wearing a seatbelt so the only thing he hurt was his pride.

Old (well was new) Cat Rental Machine, lolz! Jeez they get it rough! Usually tho, it's the body on it's side, not the cab. Dah Ouchies there!

That guy wanted to be different. I'll admit that Terex truck is a nice one. I've seen boxes on their side, I even got to see the box flipped one way and the cab flipped another. But all the way around.... that's class!

Certainly looks like he had a good attempt at it Especially when there isnt a load :notworthy :beatsme Got to agree with you there Burnout, that would take some repeating IMHO I reckon somebody was seeing how it would perform on that slope beside it. I cant see scuff marks where it is stood as if it was in a powerslide, gripped and flipped, so I come to the conclusion that it has come down the slope but how it got to be as it is now :beatsme

This is why you dont tip ADT's on a backward slope even when straight IF fitted with a cantilever tailgate.

Now I seen first hand these machines flip (after). I've also had to review about 2 that have flipped. These flip when the body is all the way up, and the driver either moves backward or forward on uneven ground. Obviously the centre of gravity is very thin and tall. Most of the weight is on the rear wheel set (not the centre axle but rear most). Now if one wheel on one side hits a real soft spot or hits a rock, it's all over. This is mainly why the body's flip. It looks like the 740 flipped, because the cabin end was raised off the ground during the load shift (centre of gravity), and as AtlasRob said is correct. The problem is also is, when the machine is righted (after the body flips), you will find the rear suspension is on 90% of times, stuffed. On the CAT's, the rubber "elephants feet" suspension on later ADT's have had a twist in them, the panhard bar at the back bends and your in all sorts of drama's. You basically have to replace/repair all the rear suspension parts, due to aligment issues. If you don't, the rubber feet break off very soon after, and your body drops against your axles and all hell breaks loose. If you see a large soft dent in the top rail of the body, mostly around the front half of the top rail, she's been rolled.
