I have the same machine and this happens very slightly to me when it's cold out. Kinda feels like track is stuck like you said. But it goes away quickly for me and never prevents the drive from working. I'm guessing it has something to do with the control valve sticking. Let me know what you find out.

Take out #12 and remove the debris, or replace it. There's one on each side.

Is that in between a hydraulic line and the control body? Easy to take out?

It's the nipple adapter between the pilot supply hose and the pilot control inlet.

Ok. Thanks. Mine is not too bad now. But when the weather warms up again, I'll take it apart.

sad to report filter was clean

The joysticks send hydraulic flow to operate the high pressure valves right? Could that be sticking?

idk what i don't understand is why it is only one track that sticks

Next is the high pressure spool. Will have to dig more to find how/ what to inspect next. How many hours on machine?

He says 3000 hours in first post.

after browsing previous 40 pages it appears this is un fixable, just let machine get warm and it works. but theres somethig somewhere causing this, just hope it doesn't cause drive motor failure

Do you have a service manual? It has some troubleshooting info in there. If you need a manual, give me your email.

    yes thank you i do

Have you looked to see which valve controls the drive? The joystick is low pressure and activates the high pressure valve. I'm guessing that high pressure valve is sticking until things heat up.

It's a Sunstrand Sauer M41, and the "spool" is the swash plate control directly. The spool can't come out without pump teardown.

The control piston only rides on an oring on each end (where I circled). Adjacent to ring is where wear will cause for that piston to stick and/or bind. Pretty sure that the pump needs removed to inspect and reseal/ hone/ clean up.

It could also be debris in the pilot oriface, but, I'd suspect only one side/ one direction if that were the case.

Is it possible his brake in the drive motor is sticking? Bundy, that drive motor don't move either direction? Even in high speed? You say it sounds like the track is stuck. Engine labors? Heymccall, If the swash plate(or spool) was stuck, would the engine labor?

  20. #20bundy552019-12-26 19:48

no engine doesn't labor at first it wouldn't go backwards now its starting to stick going forward not sure i 'm qualfied to take pump apart
