when equal low is at 76 but when runing it will go to about 15 but will climb longer run

what are your pressures at idle low and high side before the sun comes out to much, also why was the compressor changed ? did it blow up and contaminate the system or was it just leaking ? I have never cleaned an expansion valve always replaced them. If system was empty for along time or open for along time especially in the AL humidity 30 minutes on vacumn minimum .then charge to proper amount and all should be good . 15 psi is a tad low if charging without a scale I usually try for 18-20 psi for a R134a system .slow to equalize could be ice forming on the expansion valve or a restriction elsewhere in the system .

Some expansion valves don't seem to open at all when the compressor is not running, and the system pressure may never equalize (maybe overnight but not when you are watching it)

the pressures are at 76 in after all night did not clean expansion put new every thing but cooling coil and condencer pulled 2 hr vacumn let sit over night pulled 1hr vacumn new lines too when start up low will go to 10 or 15 as it warms freon might ger to 25 sometime it will cool to good sometime it will be just fan air i know i am missing something but do not know what

the compressor was changed because of locked up pulley not bad compressor just decide to go with the up grade from ap air thanks for the commit and all help is very well thought of

I would be sure you charged with correct amount of refrigerant , if it is freezing up the thermostat could be bad, that is in the evaporator(cooling coil) . or it is just very dirty and not getting proper air flow thru it , be sure the water drain is clear also

new thermostat that is the last thing i done cleaned radtior and cool coil thank you

In my mind you should be seeing around 35 to 40 psi on the low side and 195ish on the hi side when running at idle and outside temps around 80ish.... if you have the correct charge in it and the low side is way below that check to see if the evaporator has a filter or if that coil is crudded up. A blockage or sticking closed expansion valve will give you a lower than normal low side and a higher than normal high side. Was the AC working good before the pulley went bad?

thanks for the help no it was not working right before that was the reason for all the parts replaced bought tractor from tva had been retoy fitted from 12 to 124 so changed lines to new 124 lines cat made them up cleaned system put my 24 voilt pully on new delo compresser long story short wanted to change everything as good as it could be but it did do a fair job for 2years the first time

When you say Pulley I'm assuming you mean the clutch assembly?

yes sir the cluch assembley seems to be better now it was real hot right after i put it on thanks for the help
