I have an '85 D3B. Before I say more, let me start with I don't know squat about dozers.... When I put the blade down on the ground, and continue forcing it for down pressure to cut in to the soil, it stops at a 'dead spot' for a couple seconds before it lifts the dozers front end up off the ground. It almost seems like there is air in there that just needed to get worked out, but it does this every time I apply down pressure. It makes it hard(er) for me to carry a grade that way. When I get pressure on the cylinders after the dead spot, it's fine, it doesn't bleed out or anything then. Any ideas? The hydraulic fluid level is in range.
