Good Morning I need some advice on How to: I have removed the idler wheel together with the shaft from above komatsu dozer. Reason why because it would not tension the track and i established that the grease was pushing out at the seal where the shaft enters. How do i determine whether the chrome section of the shaft needs rechroming? Secondly where must i loosen to get the shaft Off the idler wheel. It is still fastened to the idler wheel? Is it wise to loossen the bolts of the chrome section[ which is hollow on the inside ] where the grease nipple is? Then i would need to replace that seal as well if i loosen the bolts there or do i leave everything and just remove???? what bolts at the idler??? Lastly, where the grease is leaking out, there is also a seel. Must i remove the bolts to get to that rubber seel? Any other seels that need to be replaced? Sorry, i have had this machine now for 4 years and it has not worked more than 165hrs. It is second hand. No handboek or manual, i am learning to repair as problems arise. But i now need Help PLSE
