Looks like the generator has failed on our D6C73A (Aus) or US 76A has failed - D333C ENGINE Is there an aftermarket alternator and brackets available to replace the generator - or are we simply up for a generator Components only show a 333-1184 Alternator as compatible but hardly any details and the sales guys were not sure? There are a lot of options. You could go with the 24v alternator system like on a 10k D6C, or D6D, or rig your own system up with a little fab work using a Delco 24si or 28si alternator.

Unless it has had an engine transplant unlikely it has a D333C engine but rather just a D333, as I thought the D333C started with the 55J/56J series which had a naturally aspirated D333C at 125hp. As for replacing with an alternator I have now fitted a universal Bosch type 24V alternator to three different machines without a lot of difficulty. A D330 in a 922, D330C in a D4D and one in a UD truck. It is not difficult to adapt them to fit if you have reasonable fabrication skills. Wiring is straight forward and you get bonus points if you fit an oil pressure cut off switch, so when there is no oil pressure the alternator is not connected to battery, so you do not need worry about leaving the key on. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/164517890743 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/254368925761 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/293760240429
