I'm currently installing a remote control system on a D8T. I'm looking to bypass the analog pressure sensor in the seat for the Operator Presence detection. If anyone can help it would help greatly! The resistance changes from 560K ohm (no operator present) to 263K ohm (operator present). I put a 263K ohm resistor on a N/O contact on my relay that closes upon selecting the Remote Enable switch with no such luck. thanks
I think you need to have 2 resistors that you use the relay to switch between so that the ecm always sees either the operator present 800-4000ohm or no operator present 90-800ohms. As you have it now the ecm sees an open circuit at power on and sets an active code.
