2010 200D 4400hrs sometimes while operating the stick doesnt move in and out smooth. Its jerky or hesitates. Similar if you would move the joystick back and forth practically as fast as you could. Ive had the machine a year and its done it ever since i have had it. The cylinder has a tiny seep. Not even a drip, you just notice dampness from oil on the boom below the cylinder. thanks in advance
Dipper rod bent? Air in system?
Serial number? Only the arm function, all other functions OK? Will the arm do it all the time or does it clear up after a few minutes of running?
How are the other functions, are they jerky as well, when then check your LS pressure
sn200dxca0512195 Only the arm function. It does it when its at operating temp.. It will do it the quit for awhile then restart. it just comes and goes.
Other functions are fine. What is LS pressure?
Load sensing, delta p
Will it do it under load or while "air" digging, or both? Arm in, out or both directions? Press and hold the top right button on your monitor, then start the engine while holding the button. When the instrument panel lights up release the button. Press the button with the symbol of a menu. Then scroll (with one of the two top left buttons) until service menu is highlighted, then press the button under the pointing finger. Highlight troubleshooting and press finger button. See if there are any codes and report back. Then press the return button (top right) to go back to the service menu and then scroll and enter monitoring. Then look for pump 1 and 2 control pressures. watch those readings while the arm is jerking to see if the control pressure is steady or fluctuating. Report back. Do the same with arm roll in pilot pressure.
Everything was normal under troubleshooting. Pump 1 and 2 Control pressures Do fluctuate. I did notice that once in a while it will be jerky when i have it under a little load say pushing away from machine smoothing dirt out, but most of the time it does it in mid air.
Does your machine have a pattern selector valve? If so switch the controls and see if the problem remains in the arm. Does the hydraulic oil get foamy?
I dont think it does have the pattern selector valve. Oil doesn't get foamy.
John Deere 200D excavator is similar Hitachi ZX200-3. Main Pump control principle is POSITIVE CONTROL . The regulator of main pumps are controlled by signal "SA" & "SB" from "Signal Control Valve" . It doesn't use Load Sensing principle ==> doesn't have delta pressure!!
For more detail.
Thanks, don't know that type of system, or haven't worked much with it.
How is it with pilot pressure, compared to a LS system, would would have a delay in your controls till the pressure is there.
I think you should check: The ARM pilot valve. The Signal Control Valve. ARM spool in main control valve.
Carefully check inside filters and shuttle valves.
Ok, now I see
Thank you for all of the help. Im not much of a mechanic, so is it time to call one?
