Deere 310SG pattern controller problems, bad ground? And ? on changing to new display

310SG, powershift, pilot control. Occasionally, the backhoe controls would be not right, a hybrid between excavator and backhoe, regardless of the position of the switch. Now, its isn't occasional. In addition, the front work lights on the cab fascia light up when you press the brakes and it idles up a few hundred RPM. Im going to throw a new pattern switch at it, but Im thinking a bad ground somewhere. Open cab machine. Anyone run across this?? Also, over time, the display has gotten in pretty rough shape. Dropped my water jug and cracked the crystal for the hour meter and the gauges do not read properly. Deere has a new display, adapter cable and software. I would assume the hours would read zero on a new one and what is involved in the software? Thanks

Serial number would be most helpful. Definitely check all the grounds, especially the one behind the right rear wheel which has a braided cable connecting the cab to the top of the main frame. Check your messages on the monitor.

The ground behind the tire was brittle near the eye on the frame. Made no difference. Still have more checks.
