How to manually lift cat 416d front loader bucket

good evening, i need to lift and lock my front bucket in the up position to make it easier to work on engine, engine will not crank, is there a way to manually lift it without taking loose hoses and making a huge mess. would the just have key on and operating bucket lever at same time as lifting let it lift. or are the hydraulics locked out since the engine wont be running. just thinking this through before trying thanks

If you had something to lift the bucket up you just need to put the lift control in float position. Once lifted block the arms from falling and put the lift lever in neutral. Angle iron on the lift cylinders is common to stop the arms from falling.

Just to be clear, engine won't crank or engine won't start? If you can turn engine over with key you can do the pulling on loader lift lever thing while cranking. Just don't crank too long and burn up starter.
