Dipper arm has power only one way

Hi, Have Case super E and it has power pushing out but not in. All other hydraulics working.

    Piston probably came off the rod. Do a bypass test on the cylinder. Good luck

    thanks I'll check that. I apologize because I'm handling this for a friend over the phone and now he tells me dipper arm will pull in with no load. I think this bypass test will also check packing bypass maybe...Sam
