A friend of mine recently bought a Dynahoe 490 ,we believe it was built in 1989.We have a list of things we are working on to bring it back to do reliable work. It needs a number of cylinders resealed,a number of hydraulic lines, and some electrical and brake work, all of which we can do. Right now we are having an issue with the loader lift cylinders, these SEEM to be held on the cylinder ends by a collar and bolt on a 3" pin, problem is the collar comes off,but the cylinders are behind the hydraulic tank and battery boxes that look like a PITA to remove. The pin appears to go through a boss on the outer frame, and into a tube on the inside frame that connects to the opposite cylinder, there was a 1/2" bolt that we believe went through the pin on the inside of the frame, but we have not been able to get it to move at all,we have heated it,soaked it with Kroil ,and beat on it,and so far nothing. Before we resort to an oxylance to blow these pins out,has anyone actually removed them?I hate to lance these out only to find they were welded there,it would be a lot of extra work.Ive seen a few pics of an older 190,it has a very different cylinder mount.
