ESCO hydraulic quick coupler(pics)????

On my excavator i have a ESCO hydraulic quick coupler. The bucket pins are 3 1/4" and they are tight on the hook side of the quick coupler then at the back pin the coupler just has a flat thumb plate the press against the pin.Plus there is about 4" of distance where the space can be less or longer for different distance between front and back pins. Thus looks like you can use several different configuration buckets. I have another bucket that i want to use,but will have to redo the ears on it.Long story is can is use a bucket with like 2" pins in the coupler.Light duty bucket for light duty work.It is a ditching bucket with tilt built very heavy, but same pins. By the looks of the couple you could use smaller pin buckets you just need to make sure you curk the bucket up tight before you latch the coupler at the rear pin.Anyone using or doing this?? Will try to add pics of coupler and bucket i want to use. YES!!!!!!!!! i would be using the safety pin.In the end will probably just try to change the ears and use the bigger pins.

While i'm asking........ my thoughts are this the ditch bucket is 10 1/4" wide inside .The couple inside is 10 3/4".I'm thinking to add new plates with the new ears(bigger pins) to the outside of the plate already on the bucket and try to leave the old ears alone. Will have to extend the new plate height above the old setup. That would get the width i need. Thought it would look better and not having to chop the bucket up.I know that the farther you extend bucket away from the machine the less backout force you have. The bucket is for dicth cleaning and will only be used for that.Bucket is 48" with only .54 yards(small in comparsion to other ditching buckets). Just have some small project that this setup would work good.Cleaning small town street ditches and loading truck.Small aera to work with v ditches!! I have the bucket so plans are to make it work if all possible.
