we have a European style 555 hoe on the farm that we horse traded for few yrs ago,,, went threw the motor an bored it over an rebuilt it. also replaced clutch, an resealed both steering cylinders, its 2 wheel drive with the verticle (straight) outriggers an has the side shift slew motor on rear to rotate hoe side to side, instead of the regular swing cylinders. pretty descent looking an no leaks an operates pretty good, enclosed cab with out the door tho, but all glass is still in cab an in perfect shape, no leaking cylinders, manual trains. , 24 inch bucket an toothed bucket on front both in great shape no tears or dents . looking for a reasonable figure to ask for it,, we just don't use it but twice a yr maybe. ive seen one online for sale but it was a 4x4 an all others 555 s are regular style with angeled outriggers. thanks for any suggestions
$10,000
wow , would of never though that high , but guess that ll give a good high side to start with,, is this a guess off the top of ur head or are ya familiar with these foreign tractors. id love to get that if possible, thanks for ur input,
Well sir I can't see the actual cond so it as good a guess that I can give you. I did once buy a wore out 555A worked on fixing it up then worked it out and made some money with it, sold it and came out ahead . So there is more than one way to skin a cat. Try and do your neighbors some work with it, while your trying to sell it.
I'll agree with that guess. I don't see any reason it would be worth more or less than a traditional american style backhoe. If you want to get a project you can get a backhoe for a lot less than $10,000 but that sounds like a good running, decent looking, non leaking machine. $10,000 is in the range, unless the tires are shot and it's all rust and brushed on paint.
