Joined a group on Facebook named Hydraulic Cylinder Repair Corner. Seems to be mostly professional cylinder fixer guys but they let me in. It's interesting to see the extremes some of them go to to repair a damaged cylinder.
I once had to have a cylinder made for a grey market forklift. It had split a couple of times and where it was, it was really not fixable. It cost me 2500 to have one made, this was 1997 dollars. It cost me enough I can imagine, I will go to no end, to salvage a cylinder, these days.
