G'day guys we just had the cummins rep come to our factory today and he gave us a list of engines he was pushing for us to use wondering what you guys think of them and if any of you guys have worked on them. These are all built in the UK and the US from what he was telling me B3.3T 3.3L tier2 Turbo, DI B3.3TAA 3.3L Tier3 Turbo, CAC, DI 6BTAA 5.9L Tier2 Turbo, CAC, DI QSB6.7 6.7L Tier3 Elec, T, CAC, DI These are all made in china. 4BTA3.9 6BTA5.9 / 6CTA8.3 NTA855 / M11 Wondering if any of you guys have a favourite out of these and if so why? Please advise as to what fuel system each is using. Certian fuel systems gave more issues than others. I always liked the qsm11, common rail. Good engine, lots of power, and cummins will make a ecu program specific for your aplication.
Being tier 2 and 3, those would all be mechanical bosch systems except for the QSBwhich would be commonrail, the 855 which would be PT pump and the M11 with its electonics. Theyre all pretty darn good engines. But none of them would be marketable in north america.
why cant they be sold in the NA? because of the EPA?
None of them are tier 4, your bang on.
