Please advise how to open this type of clip to minimize the chance of breaking it. Thank you.
Usually a shirt pocket size, small flat bladed screw driver, inserted into the seam of clamp. Slowly apply downward pressure to release lock. But the truth is, if its old, it may break regardless of how careful you are, the plastic becomes brittle. Spray well with WD to help lubricate, prior to removal.
