machine is approx 2 yrs old. It has been one thing after another since new. first under warranty a bunch of selonoids and pressure switches. then all the brakes failed. guess i should say this is the all terrain wheeled version. the swing motor stripped last time. now i have had to replace the fuse cicuit board. and looks like i have to remove and rebuild the swing gear drive. is any one else having theese problems. i do know the brakes seems to be a comon thing. have they addressed any of theese issues. cant get much info from local dealer they just changed hands again. all new people now. Owner said trade it. but what do you buy. it fits nicely. wanted to trade the old 660E in now we have to trade the newest gradall we have. All feed back appreciated

I don't own any Gradalls, but the company I do rental work for does, and they have a fleet of 3300's 2200's 4300s and 5200s they have very little problems with theres. You may have gotten a lemon. I was actually considering a Gradall XL3300 and looking for a used XL2200 for doing cellar holes to get around the bracing.

Buy a wheeled excavator! You can purchase a wheeled excavator! In Europe, you will not find any gradall type machines because they do everything with wheeled excavators. You can even pull a trailer behind the wheelie, full of attachments, and materials if you need it. Then you equip the wheelie with a Rototilt to give you even more dexterity that the gradall. You could literally work circles around a gradall. The only disadvantage is that most wheelies max out around 20 mph. You could buy a wheelie with a bunch of attachments for the price of a gradall type machine. Think of the utilization and productivity!
