There is a L series Ford group on facebook--that can probably help you. Ford vin's in some cases can be tough to run down, What year, what engine, what trans? Ford liked to use Rockwell axles, but Many were built with Eaton's also. Really some photos would help.

Well--round headlight means it's early to mid 70's. With that hood and only a guess the popular would be a 8V71 Detroit but could also have a 270 small cam originally. Trans looks like 9513 by shift control knob, and because it's early I would guess Rockwell SQHD drive axles. These are WAG's on my part.

Definitely a Cummins from what I can tell at this point is a turbo 14L 855CID engine I just don’t know if it’s the 250 or 350hp FullerEaton 3speed

If turbo'd the likely choice would be 350 small or big cam.
