Hino 6cly engine Don't know much about this truck. Wondering what it could be. Fuel shut-off solenoid- if it turns out it has one? Rely? Ign. switch? Ways to test? Any help appreciated.

    Broken cable at shutdown lever

Yeah, that would put a monkey wrench in the spokes.

Temporary fix; 5' of bailing wire tied off to the front bumper.

LOL , I remember air wipers on an old truck quit 40 miles from home once . bailing twine tied to the top of the wiper blade and run thru the wing windows worked just tied the ends together and drug back and forth .. so I guess mechanics will find a way

:beatsme Had a similar problem with an FF 177 years ago. From memory it had a little servo or solenoid to pull the fuel shutoff lever, which wouldn't respond. We were just about to run a new circuit to it when someone decided to replace the spare fuse in the fuse box........ Problem solved Cheers, Greg

Yeah, ours has the same fuse. FA1517 The end at the lever will be easy. Haven't looked at it but the cable end at the solenoid might be buried in the dash somewhere. Do you remember where yours was Queenslander?

Actuator is located under the hood with a black plastic cover. Piece ah cake.
