Don't know what the official numbers are but I have seen a few (more than three) large (over 2 million yards) jobs going up in So. California. Not just government funded work anymore. Could be a good sign. Anybody see this in other parts of the country?
The 'sign' you see may very well be a bank/lender completing a project they inherited in order to scrape out a portion of their previous equity one house at a time. Certainly you are correct - it is a project and it involves materials and workers....but from the investment view may not be a 'sign' of economic viability per se... Not trying to be dim on this...just wanted to add something we have learned.... certainly we keep our eyes open too.
