here is the deal, i am looking at a bobcat and the man that owns it says he "thinks" it is high flow but i am under the assumtion that just becuase the panel has a button for it doesnt mean it is, if i am correct after looking a a couple they all have the button as if bobcat only has one panel they use for all there machines. there are no decals that say high flow like my cat does and i just dont know much about bobcat, i prefer cat but this guy is on the money on this machine i am looking at, i dont need high flow but it might help with resale later and i just would kinda like to know before i buy it
You're correct. They all say high flow.... If it doesnt say high flow on the lift arms it aint high flow......
Too true.
You are correct about common panels, and with the K-series Bobcats, Bobcat re-designed their decals and it is hard to tell a High-Flow machine by outside appearance. On standard flow machines, the touchpad key will not light up, when pushed, unless high-flow software is activated, and that can only be done with proprietary software. If you start the machine and hit the high-flow button and it lights up, chances are, it is a high-flow. K-series high-flows have a decal on the front of the frame, but it could be missing. There's always the remote possibility that a guy could buy and apply the high-flow decal and have a dealer activate the high-flow software on a standard flow machine, in order to misrepresent it as such, but I think a seller that would readily do that would also be easily identifiable by missing teeth, missing fingers, pronounced limping, plaster casts, head-bandages, black eyes, etc.:guns Caveat emptor.......
If I'm not mistaken ,don't they also have a third hyd. line also for the high flow? jr
alot of them have 3 lines regardless i am told for incase you want to use a smaller fitting for certain attachments
kmcraig. What model machine are you looking at? If it is a later G series with the push in couplers the 3'rd line is for the preasure release and anything from s130 up run the same block.
found out that is not high flow , thanks for all the advice. to many red flags when i called the serial number in to the dealer so its off my list
sounds like you would need to asbestos gloves to drive it. the 3rd small line is the case drain line not for small attachments to release excess case pressure back to the tank so your drive motor doesnt go bang
if the owner will let you raise the cab and look on to the right of the hystat pump if you see a smaller pump towards the right side of machine and it bolted to another pump its high flow
