When removing /replacing the engine mounted hydraulic pump on the front right side- does it just unbolt and slide out- any particular timing of the gear teeth or do you just make sure the gear teeth mesh up when installing the pump? 1998 D5C hystat 3046T engine. Thanks for the advice.
The pump is not timed to the engine. Here's what the manual says for R&I: - 1. Drain the oil from the hydraulic tank into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Capacity of the hydraulic tank is 21.5 U.S. Gal. 2. Disconnect the two tube assemblies from the rear of the hydraulic implement pump. 3. Remove the two screws and washers, the hydraulic implement pump, and mounting gasket. 4. Install in reverse order. Use a new mounting gasket for the pump and new seals for the hydraulic lines.
OK- Thanks for the information
