i am trying to find the anti cavitation relief valve for the rear boom down on a 2013 John Deere 310 sk any views on that would make things go quicker and appreciative
Welcome to HEF, Todd ! Maybe ! https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/sidebyside/equipment/62929/referrer/search/pgId/724498860
That is the loader control valve. The picture below is an example, but a complete machine serial number would be needed to find the correct relief.
thank you for your response idid find it and replaced it, but i'm still having the same issue with the backhoe boom going down really slowlike a restriction. I swapped hoses with the dipper piston and it works fine and pulled the soft lines off and checked for restrictions and those are fine any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated
When you swapped hoses, did the boom work normally? Did the dipper then work slow in one direction? If the boom worked fine with the swap, your issue may be in the cylinder. If your dipper became slow in one direction, then your issue is the drift check shown below.
thank you very much for your prompt responce. I capped off the dipper just to try the hose swap and the boom worked normal off the dipper control. So i pulled the hoses for the boom to check for restriction and they were fine so i was leaning toward the valve bank. I will check this drift check you are describing. I assume that there is a drift check on individual circuits in this valve bank
The boom section as mentioned has one, and the crowd (also known as dipper or arm) section's crowd out circuit has one. That's it.
Thank you for the knowledge. i pulled the plug which was not tightso i had an aha moment, then i discovered the nylon washer inside was split and installed a new valve plunger, washer, spring, and plug after cameraing the passages in the hoses and the valve and couldn't find remnants of the other half of the washer and it still has the same symptoms boom slow to go down fighting itself. more hypothesis is greatly appreciated
The poppet valve you replaced, does it move freely and easily in the bore? If so, your issue will most likely be a piece of that washer is causing the control valve spool to stick.
the valve moves free in the bore that was one of my checks on that. Now my question is does anyone have the technical manual on this to further diagnose this is pdf format or even the repair in pdf. would be a big help
