A co-worker asked me if I wanted to help him by giving his older 753 Bobcat a quick check up....Started with a creeping issue, belts and heater core/motor replacement. Found an almost non existent exhaust pipe (that's why he was getting headaches), worn out pintle arms, leaking chain case, hoses to replace, leaking axle seals......And as expected, everything is corroded (already broke two of the exhaust flange bolts). Hydraulic tank and blower assembly are coming out tomorrow morning, so I can get better access to the exhaust manifold. So much for the next couple of days.... And Willie59....Thanks for all the good Bobcat threads...sure is coming handy right now !
LoL, I feel your pain, been there done that. Removing that bohunkin fan housing is actually not hard to do and does open things up a good bit. While you're in the mood for self inflicted torture, be sure and look closely at the tensioner for the fan belt, if it looks like it's not riding square with the belt, likely it needs a rebuild. Also, check the loader control valve on right side of machine for leaking. Might be time to fit new spool seals in that control valve. Oh, and post some pics of the little critter that will certainly cause you some personal pain. :tong
