I have a 580B diesel I was having fuel leaks in the fuel lines. I removed all lines and 1 injector. My question is how many hole should I see when looking at injector tip. and is it ok to was a wire brush on tips to remove carbon build up?
I use a small brass brush and some cleaner with a rag, most have four. The orifice size is 0.011 inch, pressure range 2550-3250 psi depending on engine and clutch or converter. Do not take apart if you can't pop test them.
Thanks for your response sheepfoot, How can I replace the nut and seal at the top of the injector without taking apart.
Pull and twist and they will come off.
