overworked ยท 2011-09-08 17:05

My uncle had mtr rebuilt, vibrates so bad u scared to rev up. I don't think they timed internal balancer. Mechanic said he just bolted it back in. Anyone know if the gears are marked, or if timing bolt like jd. Its in a td8e. Can u remove pan in dozer ? Thanks all.

Not familiar with International or Dresser machines here, only Cat. If there is an internal balancer there it has got to be timed properly. When we do it here we mark them before they come down and out of the bottom of the crank case. If you drop the belly pan you will be able determine pretty quick if the engine pan will come down.

Yes the balancer on that engine should have marks along with the gear on the crank.
