I have a 95 international 4700 T444E with the 6 plus transmission. When pulling in 5th gear it will only hold a very short while and pop out of gear, if I try to shift back in with will grind unless I pull the shifter all the way into Neutral and re shift then it goes in fine but pops out very quickly again. It doesn’t seem to pop out when going down hill letting the engine hold back. But I’d the engine is pulling it kicks out of gear. Any ideas.
Bad synchro. The back-cut is likely gone off the slider allowing the slider to come out of gear
Okay, probably time for a rebuild.
