IT 18 loader 3204 engine water leak between front cover and head

I have an old 918 loader with a purdy good water leak between front cover and the head. looks like a buger to get too. looking for some advice on how to tackle this issue. can it be replaced without removing front cover? thanks, Daniel

    It's hard to tell from the drawing but items 7, 8 and 9 make up a connecting tube. You will see a hose clamp and if you loosen it, you should be able to remove the tube without much major disassembly.
