hi i've bought a jcb 814 powerslide greycab which the slide was jammed right back on someone had somehow managed to break the stop clean off and it had jammed in it's shortest position after a lot of carring on managed to get it freed off but now can't get the locking latch to lock unbolted it to free the slide off and was told to get it to lock u flick the button on the bottem left hand side of the control panel which makes a buzzer sound and a green light cums on in the button and then to simply crowd the bucket back but that doesn't appear to be doing anything any help much appreciated cheers
Are the pads in the clamp worn or been knocked out?
i'm probly away to sound lyk i don't know what i'm going on about but thats because i haven't really had any experiences with one of these machines before so u'll hav to exuse my ignorence when u say pads do u mean the ones that it slides on if so there would b a 10milimeter gap but thats another thing i was unsure of i would of thought that the locking latch would go up into the holes in the slide to lock it but the ram which is meant to lock is in the shape of a v with no hope of fitting into one of those holes with no signs off pads ever being there or being knocked off and to me just looks lyk its just meant to lock on the flat surface of the sllide which didn't seem right cause thats just a flat steel surface to another flat steel surface and was that the right way of locking the latch i mentioned? had the pipes going to the ram slack and whenever you put pressure on the system oil came out so there is oil getting to the ram and again sorry if i'm sounding lyk i don't have a clue
